School learning session: Meet Robert Hooke

Meet one of The Monument’s designers, Robert Hooke, and quiz him on the Great Fire of London and the secrets of this impressive structure.

Robert Hooke will meet your group metres from the spot where the Great Fire of London started and will lead the children on a short tour around the base, pointing out its significant features and bring the past to life. Your group will also have the opportunity to climb the 311 steps to the top of The Monument to enjoy fantastic views over the city.

Sessions last 1 hour, are available for pupils in Key Stage 1  and are FREE with admission.
